Devils River Conservancy created the Rio San Pedro Stewardship Award to honor individuals whose lives embody a deep and enduring commitment to protecting and preserving the Devils River. At its core, the award acknowledges a truth long understood by those who live along the river: that stewardship isn’t a title—it’s a way of life.
This year, we are proud to recognize Mr. David Honeycutt, whose vision and leadership helped shape the very foundation of our organization. From placing his own lands under a conservation easement, to guiding DRC and The Nature Conservancy among others, David has shown what it means to lead with integrity and foresight. His dedicated advocacy has left a lasting impact on the landscape and community we strive to protect.
